Situation
Chanakya Dairy Products Private Ltd. (CDPPL) is a leading dairy company in Punjab, India, that started in 2005 with a vision to promote ethical and sustainable dairying. With a capacity of 250,000 litres of milk per day, CDPPL produces various high-quality milk products, such as pasteurized milk, butter, ghee, milk powders, ice, and more. CDPPL exports its products to both national and international markets, making a significant contribution to the dairy industry in Punjab.
However, CDPPL faced challenges managing its operations due to manual processes and the need for integrated applications. This resulted in inefficiencies, errors, and delays in production, distribution, and quality control. CDPPL needed a solution that could streamline its workflows, automate its tasks, and optimize its performance.

The challenge
CDPPL relied on legacy applications, utilizing different software for crucial functions like production, distribution, quality control, accounting, and inventory management. This fragmented approach made data sharing and coordinating activities across the organization challenging.
CDPPL did not have a system to track and manage its raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials. This led to wastage, spoilage, and stock-outs of essential items impacting production schedules.
CDPPL did not have a system to monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and payable, cash flow, and tax compliance. This resulted in delayed payments, inaccurate financial reports, and regulatory issues.

With D365 BC, data silos were dismantled, allowing seamless information flow across departments—from production to distribution, quality control, accounting, and inventory management. Real-time insights became readily accessible, empowering informed decision-making and enhancing overall efficiency.
